Coffee Martini Recipe (Smooth Low-Acid Espresso Martini) | trücup

The espresso martini is the cocktail that pulls double duty — dessert and nightcap in one glass. Our version uses cooled trücup low-acid coffee in place of a sharp espresso shot, so it comes out rich and smooth with that signature silky foam on top and none of the bitter edge. Four ingredients, one shaker, about two minutes.

Ingredients (makes 1 cocktail)

  • 2 oz vodka

  • 1 oz coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa)

  • 1 oz freshly brewed trücup low-acid coffee, cooled (or cold brew)

  • ½ oz simple syrup, to taste

  • Ice, plus 3 coffee beans to garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew a strong cup of trücup coffee and let it cool, or use cold brew straight from the fridge.

  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, coffee, and simple syrup.

  3. Shake hard for 15–20 seconds — the vigorous shake is what creates the foam.

  4. Double-strain into a chilled martini glass.

  5. Float three coffee beans on top and serve right away.

Tips

  • Making a round for guests? Multiply everything and shake in batches of two so it stays cold and foamy.

  • Want the flavor without as much caffeine before bed? Use trücup half-caff.

Please enjoy responsibly. Must be 21+ to drink.
